Biography
Daniel Poitras has over 30 years of experience in the field of occupational health and safety, having held strategic positions within a large multinational company since 1997.
Today, as a trainer and coach, he supports organizations in strengthening risk management skills and in guiding their teams towards OHS excellence.
Previously, Daniel led HSE initiatives for Rio Tinto Iron and Titanium and Rio Tinto Alcan, where he played a key role in reducing injuries and implementing safe practices at various sites in North America, Europe and Australia.
With a Master's degree in Industrial Relations and a certificate in Ergonomics, Daniel has extensive expertise in developing leadership skills in accident prevention. He has led global programs to improve performance and influenced OHS strategies for integrating standards into company operations. His pragmatic approach and notable achievements have contributed to strengthening risk management in various industrial sectors.
